Nothing too extreme weather wise it seems, so we will be doing a ridgeway route. Wet and slippery ground conditions are likely though.
We will do a 30k route, with the usually amount of ridgeway hills.
You will need lights and a helmet, waterproof jacket/tools/puncture repair – all the usual accessories…
This week’s Ladies Morning Motivator Ride will be lead by Lindsay, as I’m unable to make it.
She is starting at Mouldon Hill car park (opposite the Tawney Owl Pub) and will be taking you on a magical mystery ride around the cycle paths in North Swindon!!
This will be a shorter ride, but a fab hour of cycling!
Thanks for all supporting and joining Lindsay for this ride.
Joe Cox and club coach Gaz Thorner are heading to Windh1ll bike park on the 7th of January to lose some excess Xmas weight 😉 you are more than welcome to join us! It will be a day of sessioning different runs and maybe session some certain features.
Please please bring a helmet if you care to join us (it is compulsory at the bike park).
You will also need to be a b1ke member which you can do for free via the link below.

The usual Tuesday night ride onto the Ridgeway. The weather forecast looks wet and windy yet again, so we will be riding harder pack trails and a bit of urban – all subject to change according what weather actually transpires.
You must wear a helmet, bring lights (strong enough for the dark of the Ridgeway) and appropriate clothing (warm waterproofs at the moment).
If you have not been on a club ride before and are not a club member, you are welcome to join us to see what it is like before joining. Details on the benefits of membership and how to join can be found by clicking here.
Mixed morning motivator ride – The ladies crew hold morning motivator social rides to keep us from slacking over winter. This one is being held at flyup 417 as a come and ride what you want to ride and some of us will be there kind of day. Last time we went in the week we had the entire site to the 5 of us so it was a great experience.
Meet in the car park at 10am. The park costs £7 for entry and helmets are compulsory – pads are also recommended.
This is our first #getintomtb event of 2018 and is aimed anyone starting off mountain biking, or coming back to it after a break.
We will being laps of the Croft Trail in Swindon, which is a great trail for starting and progressing on a mountain bikes. There will be 2 ride leaders with mixed and ladies only groups.
Club coach (and maintenance instructor) Gaz will be there to run through the M check, so you can check your bike is ready for the trail before setting off. We will then take you round the trail and point out some of the features along the way. Don’t worry, everything is optional, but we will be there to encourage you 🙂
Please bring a helmet and suitable clothing (if it’s raining you will need waterproofs).
We will also be holding a “Questions Amnesty” where you can ask anything you always wanted to know about mountain biking, but were afraid to ask, anonymously. Ask your questions here.
