As I’m going to be at Swinley, I thought it would be a good opportunity to re-run the popular “Swinley’s Best Bits” ride. This is an action packed 10 miles & it really does pack in lots. Starting on the Blue trail we follow that till the point it gets dull, then go off piste on a section of the Enduro course, before picking up the best of Red to the downhill trails. Our highlight there is the old full Labrynth, but scope to do a few of the other DH trails in that corner too.
The we hit Red 25 on the way to back via the Tank Traps and the final ace descent of Blue.
If you want a bit more info on the route, check out our report
here, otherwise come and see for yourself 🙂
Meet at the entrance to the trails at Swinley for a 10.30 start.
Last week we managed a whole lap in daylight, so going to start slightly earlier at 5.30 and I reckon we might get 2 in daylight if you’re prompt 😊
But we will continue into the dark, so don’t worry if you can’t make it till a bit later – just come down and have a fun few laps whenever you can.
Meet in Croft car park for 5.30 start, or on the trial after that.
Starting at the Wanborough Village Hall at 10.30am, we will take the back Road to Covingham. We will then go across the fly over towards South Marston where we will take the country lanes and some off road routes to Nightingale woods. After a quick whizz round the woods and a short stop we will head back to Wanborough along the same route as we came. We will then finish by having a drink in the pub!!!
This route is around 12 miles, suitable for hybrid bikes with off road tyres or mountain bikes.
It’s perfect for beginners and novice riders, a truly lovely social ride for everyone.
Hope to see you on Sunday Ladies 😀

We will start at Waitrose car park in Wichelstowe, then head along the old railway path to old town, passing Croft trail along the way for a lap or 2 if you fancy it, before heading back Waitrose. This will be a gentle ride , with the option of the Croft trail for more a more technical ride if you wish .
We aim to be back at Waitrose by 1pm.
