For our second family ride, we’re going to Wichelstowe.
Starting at Waitrose, we go along the Southern flyer and up a bit of the old railway line, before descending to Wichelstowe, where there is a playground to take break. From there we head out to Croft, to do the final section of the trail (which is fairly flat), before heading back to Wichelstowe. We will go along the canal, round the lake and back up to Waitrose (& a cafe stop if desired).
Total route is 5.5 miles, or if 3.5 miles if you want to skip the Croft trip and stay at the playground. A great route combining cycle paths and off road riding.
The ride will be lead by our Welfare officer, Davinia, who is also a British Cycling qualified ride leader and Breeze champion.
Whilst on the ride your children must be accompanied and are your responsibility at all times.
Meet outside the front of Waitrose at 10am.

Swinley Enduro is rapidly approaching, so we’re going to do a full on training event.
We will follow last years course fully, stopping to have a look at some of the trickier bits along the way. Although this year’s course is secret and will have an additional stage, we’re pretty sure some of last year’s stages will be included again.
Meet outside the Swinley Bike Hub at 10am (so we can bug Tristan and try and get him to spill more of this year’s course details!)

Banjo will be hosting the Tuesday in Dave’s absence this week.
We will be heading up the ridgeway, but the weather will determine the final route. However there will be hills and some thrills.
Route will be round 20-23 miles, bring suitable clothing, lights will be a must and lid always a must.
Route will hopefully be heading out from the Bayberry, up past the golf course to Chisey. Then my favourite hill… up and down – Snap hill aka flying club. Then along the top on the ridgeway towards Marlborough, then taking a route over to Barbury. Through Barbury, down into the woods at the back of Wroughton and then the usual route back to the Bayberry.

We will be at Croft on Wednesday as usual, doing some laps of the trail and practice on the features along the way.
This week we will have another feature on corners – hopefully how to go round them quicker!
Meet in the car park at 5.45pm
You will need a helmet, but not lights (not this week anyway, but not sure about next week unfortunately!)
